The Different Kinds of Dreams in the Bible
Dreams are an intriguing phenomenon that occurs in various contexts in the Bible. While some dreams clearly contain a message from God, others are deceptive or require external interpretation. In this article we are going to take a look at the different types of dreams found in the Bible. It can be broken down into smaller parts or sub-courts, but I’m not going to do that
1. Prophetic Dreams
The Bible testifies to several incidents in which God spoke through dreams to convey a message to his people. These types of dreams are considered prophetic and are meant to provide insight into the future or provide guidance for those who receive them. An example of this is the dream of the Pharaoh of Egypt that Joseph interprets in the Book of Genesis. God uses these types of dreams to give guidance and warnings to his people.

2. Deceitful Dreams
Although God can communicate through dreams, the Bible also warns against deceptive dreams that are spread by false prophets and soothsayers. These individuals often claim to receive divine revelation, but their dreams are in fact deceptive and serve to manipulate the people. It is important to be wary of such dreams and to test them against the truth of God’s Word.
3. Dreams with External Interpretation
Some dreams in the Bible contain symbolic images that are not immediately clear to the dreamer himself. These types of dreams often require external interpretation, whether by an angel who delivers the message directly in the dream, or by a prophet or other person who explains the dream afterwards. An example of this is the dream of Daniel in the Book of Daniel, in which an angel explains to him the meaning of the dreams.

4. Conclusion
In a society in which dreams are often seen as a window to the soul, it is important to remember that not all dreams have the same origin or meaning. While some dreams may contain a divine message, others should be approached with caution to avoid deception. So let us seek wisdom and test our dreams against the truth of God’s Word.
May we always be open to the guidance of God through dreams, but also be vigilant against deception
