MONDAY 02/12/2024: A VISIT OF JOY

“When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” – Luke 1:41

The story of Mary’s visit to Elizabeth reminds us of the joy Advent brings. Mary, carrying Jesus, travels to Elizabeth, who is pregnant with John the Baptist. At Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s baby leaps for joy, and Elizabeth is filled with the Holy Spirit.

Advent invites us to reflect on God’s presence and the joy it brings. Like Elizabeth, we are called to welcome the presence of Christ in our lives. This joy doesn’t depend on circumstances but on the hope we find in Him.

This season, consider how you can bring Christ’s presence into your relationships. How can you, like Mary, carry His joy to others? A kind word, a caring gesture, or a prayer for a friend are ways to reflect His love and hope.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the joy Your presence brings. Help me to carry Your hope and light to others this Advent. Fill me with Your Spirit and let my life reflect Your joy. AMEN.
