GANG VIOLENCE – NEW SERIES OF DAILY DEVOTIONS  JULY 22 TO 29, 2024

What do we do when the world in which we live is literally torn apart by gunfire, knife violence, anger, self-hatred, drug users, gang violence, and the abuse of women and youth? These issues affect us all deeply and leave us with questions about how to respond and where to turn.

From July 22 to 29, 2024, I invite you to participate in my new series of daily devotions with the theme “Gang Violence.” During this week, I will discuss the challenges of our society and consider how we, as individuals and as a faith community, can make a difference. I believe that when we look at the world around us, we can do something. One thing we are all called to do is not only to pray but to put God’s advice into action.

What can you expect from this series?

1. Daily Scripture Passages and Reflections: Each day we will share a Scripture passage relevant to the theme of the day. These passages will guide us to delve deeper into the Word of God and His wisdom for our lives.
2. Practical Tips and Action Plans: We will provide practical tips on how we can make a difference in our communities. This includes ways to combat violence, support victims, and strengthen community relationships.
3. Prayers for Change: Prayer is a powerful tool. We will pray together for healing, change, and peace in our communities. Each day will have a specific prayer focus to help us direct our hearts and minds toward God.
4. Testimonies and Inspirational Stories: We will share stories of people who are already making a positive difference in the fight against gang violence and abuse. These testimonies will inspire and encourage us to take action as well.

Let us use this time to stand together against the injustices that plague our communities. With God’s guidance and our collective efforts, we can be a light in the darkness and bring about true change.
