TUESDAY 26/11/2024 DAY 2 – LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS
“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.” ISAIAH 9 VERSE 2

Jesus’ genealogy reflects a history of dark times—wars, exile, and sin. Yet God provided hope in every generation. Isaiah’s prophecy of light breaking through the darkness is fulfilled in Jesus, the Light of the World.
Advent is a time to reflect on the darkness in our lives and the world around us. But it is also a time to expect the light. Jesus does not just expose the darkness; He transforms it, bringing hope, peace, and joy where despair once reigned.
Think of a dark room illuminated by a single candle. That small flame dispels the overwhelming darkness. Similarly, Christ’s light brings clarity and warmth to the shadows of our lives. As we light the first Advent candle, let it symbolize the hope we have in Jesus.
PRAYER Lord Jesus, thank You for being the Light in our darkness. Help me trust You to transform the broken places in my heart and the world. Let Your hope shine through me as I prepare to celebrate Your coming. AMEN.
