EASTER SUNDAY 31/03/2024
Matthew 28:10: “Then Jesus said to them: ‘Do not be afraid’…”
It is a message of hope and encouragement amidst the challenges and uncertainties of our time. Perhaps you feel upset about the current circumstances, You may have lost someone to death, or loved ones who are sick, your health is in danger, or a feeling of isolation and fear surrounds you. But even amid this darkness, the Easter message calls us to celebrate, to hold fast to the faith that Christ brings victory.
The message of Easter Sunday gives us hope and encouragement to go through times of trial even if it is also struggling. It reminds us that, even in the darkest hours, we are not alone. We are enveloped by the love and power of Christ, who conquered death and rose to eternal life. For those who today struggle with weakness, sadness, and uncertainty, Resurrection Sunday brings a message of peace and comfort, while reminding us that we do not need to be afraid because Christ is with us.
On this Easter Sunday, let us make the message of resurrection and hope our own, and let it fill our hearts with joy and peace. May we feel the assurance of Christ’s presence, which transforms our lives and leads us to enter the future with faith and courage.
Prayer: Loving Father, on this Easter Sunday we bring our worries and fears to You. May the message of resurrection and hope fill our hearts, and let us cling to the truth that we are not alone. Give us the strength not to be afraid, but to live with faith and trust in your loving provision. Thank you that our risen Lord, Jesus Christ, always guides and supports us. Amen.
